A featured extra role in this sci-fi post apocalyptic short evolved into a featured role much to my delight. The theme was the end of the world set in Auckland via unknown means and how the main two characters deal with the lead up to the end. My character was a panicked man whom the protagonist bumps into on the way up to the car-park roof. My dialogue was a phone call overheard, setting the scene for the world beyond the concrete walls...
On completing on the film, I was gutted to learn that the entire scene was removed as the film was too long and as the editors felt it didn't add to the story.
This would not be the last time I ended up on the cutting room floor...
